After My Fiancée Claimed Her New Assistant Was the Future of the Company, I Made the Company Go Bankrupt

I used to fall for this kind of act.

Looking back now, how many times was it genuine and how much was just an act?

This time, I didn't call her out on her feigned coyness, but I didn't offer any warm response either.

Perhaps sensing my unusual coolness, she pulled out a red string with a jade charm for peace.

“Don't be angry!”

“I had a friend specially make this. It'll protect you forever and keep us happy for life!”

That red string looked all too familiar.

Only then did Wanda let out a breath of relief. Then she said, “Quick, come to the office with me. You should hand over your work to Julian."

"Take some time to rest. Once he gets familiar with the business and things have calmed down, you can go back to the company. You're my fiancé. I won't let you suffer any losses.”

Hearing her, I almost laughed out loud. I had already suffered, so what kind of guarantee was that?

When we arrived at the company, I walked into my office and saw Julian sitting in my chair as if he were the big boss. His feet propped up on my desk.

“Are you angry right now? Are you furious? Someone as incompetent as you should have been fired long ago.”

"Your position is already mine and soon …. so is your fiancée."

A taunting smile lifted at the corner of his mouth. It seemed he was waiting for me to lose my temper.

“Have you finished?” I asked calmly. "Then we can proceed to the handover."

Julian looked displeased.

“Hmph! What is the use of handing over simple work like yours? Give me a break!”

His face filled with disdain.

Hearing this, I just turned around to leave.

"Hold it!"

Julian became even more irritated. He lunged forward to grab my shoulder. But he lost his footing, sent him tumbling out of the office and landed flat on his face.

He grimaced in pain.

"Julian!"

Right then, Wanda came. She shoved me aside abruptly.

"Tristan!"

“You've gone too far! I asked you to hand over work to him, not to bully him!”

"Clearly, you're in the wrong first. How dare you pick on him?”

“If you have a problem, take it out on me!”

As she said that, with an anxious expression on her face, she helped Julian up.

Since she said this loudly, the commotion attracted the attention of the senior executives in the surrounding offices. And they all stuck their head out from their offices.

“You don't even ask what happened first before accusing me?” I couldn't help but retort.

Wanda froze. She finally turned to look at Julian with an inquiring gaze.

"Wanda, I'm sorry, I caused you trouble again.”

Julian apologized first, then, taking advantage of the situation, he shifted the blame and slandered me. "Tristan was angry and didn't want to hand over the work to me properly, so we had a conflict."

“He didn't push me—I tripped during the argument.”

His words only added fuel to the fire.

Wanda glared at me and scolded even more indignantly, "Do you still try to wriggle out of it? This is clearly all your fault! Apologize to Julian! Or you're fired!!"

She was biased and believed anything he said. She wanted me to bow my head to him in front of everyone to humiliate me!

“Then fire me.”

“As of today, I am no longer an employee of your company.”

Leaving that sentence behind, I turned and walked away.

For a moment, Wanda was taken aback. When she was about to chase after me, Julian suddenly clutched his arm and cried out in pain.

She immediately abandoned the idea of following me and shifted her attention to his injury.

I left the company, got into the family car and headed to the airport to return to Tulice Country. I took nothing but my identification documents.

Because everything should have to be thrown away.

That afternoon, Wanda and Julian went together to renegotiate with Torch Capital.

"Wanda, don't worry, I know how to deal with this kind of big consortium and they will definitely agree to the new conditions.”

"We'll stick to this profit-sharing ratio. They'll get 30 % and we'll get 70%."

Throughout the journey, Julian radiated with confidence. But upon arriving at Torch Capital, they were barred from entering by the security.

"I'm Wanda Robinson. I have an appointment with your chairman today,” Wanda said with a slight frown.

“Move aside. We're discussing major business deals. If you delay us, you can pack your bags and leave,” Julian said coldly.

Having completely crushed me, he no longer needed to pretend, revealing his true arrogant and bullying nature.

The security guard sneered, “The chairman said he'll never cooperate with you people again.”

Then he pulled out a sign that said. [The Dogs: Wanda Robinson And Julian Smith Are Banned!]
