After The Divorce, The Richest Man Entangled Me

In the VIP room of the hospital, Kristie stood at the door of the ward, hesitating.

Ever since Harvey got into trouble, she had been staying in that ward almost day and night, never leaving, praying day and night, hoping that God would appreciate her sincerity and let Harvey wake up.

But later she learnt if her sincerity was a joke.

When Kristie thought of all the ways Harvey had deceived her, she wanted to kill him, but she knew that it was not the right time.

After taking a deep breath, Kristie pushed the door open.

Harvey was sitting on the hospital bed. Even in his hospital gown, he looked handsome.

Hearing the sound, Harvey tilted his head and his gaze fell on Kristie. His eyes were calm and without any ripples.

“Where have you been? I want to drink tea. I'm not used to tea made by others!”

Always a condescending tone.

Was this the important thing?

Kristie just found it funny, but at the same time she felt sorry for her former self.

How ridiculous had she been during these three years? She actually thought that Harvey only drank the tea she made and only liked to eat the food she cooked and that it was a sign of his deep love for her.

She did not want to be so foolish anymore.

Kristie walked straight to Harvey, pulled a chair over and sat down.

“Is this what you wanted to tell me?” she asked.

Harvey was waiting for tea, not Kristie who was sitting still with her thick brows furrowed.

Just as he was about to lose his temper, Kristie interrupted him, “Harvey, won't you explain?”

Kristie took out a stack of information and threw it in front of Harvey. On top was a photo of Harvey accompanying Susan in and out of the hospital for prenatal checkups, which made her particularly aware of the situation.

With the evidence of cheating in front of him, Harvey's expression changed slightly, but the next second he just said lightly, “Since you know everything, I won't hide it from you. The shares in the old man's hands are ours.”

Kristie felt like a basin of ice water was poured over her head and she felt cold all over.

This was the explanation Harvey gave her after he ‘woke up?’

“Harvey, you are so shameless!”

Kristie did not want to stay any longer, so she got up and left.

The man's cold voice sounded behind her, “Kristie, you know in your heart that there is no love or affection in a family like ours. It's not good for you to fight side by side with me and stand at the top of the pyramid hand in hand like before.”

Kristie turned her back to Harvey, but tears still flowed down her face.

If she had not seen Harvey with Susan with her own eyes, perhaps she would have thought that it would be nice to be a couple with him.

She could foolishly continue to deceive herself that the slightest difference in Harvey's attitude towards her was love.

But not at that moment.

The phone dinged. It was a picture sent by Frances.

Kristie opened it and enlarged the picture.

Harvey had already signed his name on the divorce agreement.

His vision blurred for a moment and his right hand, which was holding the phone, trembled slightly.

No matter how Frances asked Harvey to sign, at this moment, Kristie's heart still ached so much that she almost died.

“Kristie, no matter what happens in the future, you will always be my Mrs. Stokes. Susan and the baby in her belly cannot threaten your position.”

Cannot threaten her position?

Kristie really wanted to ask Harvey, his body and heart were all on Susan, so was this not a threat?

But it did not matter at this moment.

Kristie looked down at Harvey's signature on the divorce agreement and smiled faintly. After another month of the divorce cooling-off period, when her grandmother had finished the surgery, she would take her grandmother away and stay away from Harvey and the entire Stokes Family.

Kristie also did not want to be disgusted by this couple again, so she said, “Harvey, don't let Susan appear in front of me during this month, understand?”

Harvey thought Kristie had changed her mind, so his thick brows relaxed and his tone softened a lot.

“Okay, I agree. Her due date is exactly one month from now and I don't want her mood to be affected in this last month.”

What a coincidence.

Kristie's heart was breaking repeatedly, so she left without looking back, completely ignoring Harvey's voice behind her.

“By the way, I have asked a nanny to take care of Susan. She has a picky appetite and she only likes her cooking. During this time, you should…."

Before he could finish his words, Harvey frowned and looked up, only to see Kristie's departing back.

Harvey's brows were twisted and he suddenly felt dissatisfied. It seemed that there was something different about Kristie.

He knew that he was sorry for Kristie in the incident with Susan, but that night was an accident. Since God had given this accident an extra surprise, he would never give up on this child.

Harvey believed that Kristie would figure it out.

She loved him so much that she would accept Susan and the child for him and soon, she would replace Mavis by marrying into the Romero Family for him.

Christ was a fool and Kristie just suffered a little reputational injustice. Harvey believed that she would understand himself.

Outside the ward, Kristie leaned her back against the snow-white wall, slowly slid down to the ground and cried inconsolably.

After an unknown amount of time, Kristie slowly raised her head and looked at the afterglow of the setting sun outside the window. She reached out and wiped away the tears from her cheeks.

She thought that tomorrow would be a good day, and in a month, she would usher in a new life.

However, Kristie never expected that Harvey had already agreed to it, but right after that, he actually let Susan enter the house and bully her.
