Frank froze abruptly, then his face twisted with rage as he kicked the assistant into the corner. “How much did Jane pay you? Even you’re helping her put on a show to deceive me?”
The assistant trembled in fear, immediately dropping to his knees to explain. “Mr. Watson, I really am not lying! They really have all died! If you don’t believe me, go ask the police. They have records of it!”
Frank still thought the assistant was lying, his chest heaving violently with anger. “Fine! That despicable woman not only bought you off, but now she even wants to team up with the police to forge evidence! How dare you betray me? I think you don’t want to keep your life!”
In a fit of rage, he grabbed a golf club and struck the assistant hard on the head.
The sharp crack of breaking bones was horrifying, but Frank, caught up in his fury, showed no sign of stopping.
It wasn’t until Kamari came rushing over, leaning on her cane and firmly stood in front of him that Frank reluctantly stopped the brutal attack.
Seeing the floor covered in blood and the assistant fainted from the blow, Kamari’s blood pressure soared with anger.
She instructed the accompanying doctor to quickly treat the assistant’s wounds, then called for an ambulance to take him to the hospital.
Turning around, she saw Frank shielding Celine behind him.
Furious beyond words, Kamari struck Frank’s back hard with her cane, her face full of bitter disappointment.
“Beast! Beast! How could I have given birth to such a cursed child like you! First, you killed six children, then you drove their mother away and now you’re even pushing innocent people to the brink of death! My son, do you even know what you’re doing right now?”
Frank grew even angrier, his eyes filled with disbelief as he stared at his mother. “Mom! How can you also side with that woman and deceive me? How much did Jane pay you to make you all stand so firmly on her side without hesitation? I shouldn’t have softened when they drew blood back then! A woman who tells so many lies should have died on the operating table!”
Kamari trembled with fury and heartbreak, almost as if in shock and raised her hand to slap him twice.
She never expected that the son she once proudly boasted about would become such a villain who treated human life like worthless grass.
The two merciless slaps finally snapped Frank back to reality and his raging anger began to subside.
But he didn’t change his mind and said puzzledly, “Mom, what kind of spell did Jane put on you to fool you so completely? You must never believe her words! The people I sent to pick up the kids already told me that they’re all perfectly fine! They didn’t die at all! I know you feel sorry for the grandchildren, but this whole matter is their own fault! If they hadn’t disrupted my plan to accompany Celine to the prenatal checkup, insisting on throwing a birthday party, I wouldn’t have sent them to that deserted island!”
Celine also put on a hypocritical tone and said, “Mrs. Watson, Frank is right! If these kids aren’t disciplined from a young age, sooner or later they’ll go bad! You can’t be too lenient with them!”
She even pretended to wipe away tears, acting all solemn as she gently touched her belly. “Besides, if those six little brats want their father to be with them on their birthday, doesn’t my child deserve the same?”
Kamari’s body stiffened, looking at Celine’s belly in disbelief. “You… you’re pregnant?”
Confident that her child would secure her status, Celine’s lips curled into a smug smile. “Yes, you’ll soon have a new grandson!”
A flash of anger rose in Kamari’s eyes and she coldly slapped her. “You shameless, wicked woman!”
