After My Death, My Wife Goes Mad

I had thrown away all my pride and dignity, but it still couldn't win back Alice.

Instead, I was ridiculed by Harvey.

He told me to get out and see the world beyond my home instead of just tidying up and cooking.

That night, Alice and Harvey slept in the same room, on the bed that I had once shared with Alice, doing what we had once done together.

Alice was unrestrained, with no qualms at all.

Even with the door closed, their sounds reached my ears.

Occasionally, I could hear Harvey's vulgar jokes, which made Alice giggle.

Then, their sounds became more passionate.

My eyes felt dry and sore, but I didn't want to close them.

Every time I blinked, the image of Alice and Harvey entangled together appeared before me.

So, I stubbornly kept my eyes open, even as tears streamed down my face.

After an unknown amount of time, their sounds faded, and it was finally over.

I heard Alice say, "Harvey, you're so much better than Bruce."

Harvey laughed, "Don't compare me to that loser. I could take on ten of him with one punch." Alice laughed heartily, "Harvey, let's get married after I divorce Bruce. I can't stand living with him for another day."

It felt like my heart was instantly crushed, and I doubled over in pain.

My heart, it was broken.
