" Sally , Cyril and I ... have submitted a request to terminate the blood contract."
Blair put down the crystal glass in her hand. The remaining blood wine in the glass was shimmering with a faint red light. She looked up at her friend Sally across from her with an indifferent expression.
The night was dark, the candlelight in the vampire tavern flickered, and the animal bones hanging on the wall cast cold shadows in the firelight.
Sally was stunned, almost knocking over the wine glass in her hand, and her voice couldn't help but rise a few pitches:
"What are you talking about?! You've been bound together for three years! A blood pact wouldn't have lasted that long if it weren't for your willingness. Blair , what on earth are you thinking? Could it be that Cyril has no feelings for you at all?"
Blair smiled softly but didn't answer.
She also didn't know whether Cyril was interested or not.
Half a month ago, when she handed him the parchment that released the blood contract, he was busy dealing with the blood clan meeting. While answering the elder's voice transmission, he signed his name carelessly. He didn't even hear what she said and turned away .
He never mentioned the incident again after that.
Just wait another half a month, the contract will take effect, and she will be completely free.
However, freedom is not easy.
Shortly after the proposal to terminate the blood contract was made, the backlash came early.
Blair suddenly felt a sharp pain in her chest in the castle, and her blood flowed backwards, as if it was being torn apart by a sharp blade.
Her eyes went dark and she fainted.
When she opened her eyes again, she had been sent to the healing room of the Vampire Temple.
The candlelight was dim, the blood pool was surging, she lay on the cold altar, her limbs were sealed by secret techniques, and the blood in her body was flowing out uncontrollably.
She heard footsteps.
Cyril rushed in, followed by a young vampire boy and an accompanying law priest.
His voice was low and cold: " Blair , if you leave your blood mark on this transfer deed, I will immediately sign the Temple file and save you."
Blair looked weakly at the paperwork .
It was a supplementary blood contract that completely gave up her offspring's inheritance rights.
Blood continued to flow from the corners of his lips, staining his white clothes red.
The priest frowned with a solemn expression, and advised: "If she is a step later, her soul will be shattered! Young Master, please save her first!"
Cyril rebuked her harshly, " Vera is my eldest brother's only bloodline heir! I have already promised to give her my power and family fortune. Even if Blair is pregnant with my blood, she will never threaten his position. My eldest brother has been so kind to me, Blair, you will understand."
She was no longer able to hold a pen, so she could only stretch out her bloodstained fingers and slowly press a blood mark on the deed.
At that moment, tears welled up in her eyes, but her smile was desolate.
After the treatment, Blair slept for a day.
When she woke up, Cyril was not around, but she heard him whispering to the Law Priest:
"Why are you so anxious? If Madam notices something unusual and discovers that Vera is actually your and Una 's biological child, it would be a grave sin."
Cyril 's voice was cold and emotionless. "For Vera and Una's sake , I shouldn't have let Blair get pregnant. But she was away from home with her seriously ill grandmother, so I couldn't do it. I was relieved to learn she was pregnant with a girl. But to prevent future trouble, I had no choice but to force her to sign the contract while she was at her most vulnerable."
The priest was silent for a while, then whispered, "But there's no need for you to cause a backlash. Blood contracts are inherently dangerous, and she almost lost her life..."
"shut up!"
Cyril interrupted, sneered,
"Which vampire doesn't go through hardships when giving birth to offspring? Una almost died when she gave birth to Vera . Since Blair is a mother, she should consider the child. If I didn't threaten her life, would she agree?"
