A Son-in-law to be A Heir

As soon as these words came out, everyone had their eyes on me and their sympathetic, surprised and gloating eyes almost drowned me.

I just shook my head in self-mockery.

At the beginning, I thought I was working for my own family, so I did not sign any contract. I also never expected that she would want Cedric to replace me.

Cedric was her first love. Back then, that guy wanted to develop his career abroad and dumped her heartlessly.

I had not heard about him for so many years, but as I brought the Morscheck Group back on the right track, he came back. It seemed like he came to take advantage of the bargain.

I just hated Serena for being so blind and heartless to me for a man who once abandoned her!

Thinking of this, I became furious and spoke in a cold tone.

"Serena, you have no right to fire me!"

"I'll only give you one chance. If you abort the baby and stay loyal to me from now on, we can still be a family. But only this once!"

The woman looked at me in disbelief, then she could not bear it anymore, so she pointed at my nose and shouted coldly.

"Who do you think you are? How dare you order me around? I am pregnant with the heir to the Morschecks. From now on, I will love Cedric wholeheartedly. As for you, even if you kneel down and beg me, you will only be fired!"

Everyone shook their heads and mocked me for being overconfident.

I did not care because they were all wrong.

I was a man who never spoke empty words. I gave my wife the final ultimatum because I had enough confidence.

If I had not promised my parents-in-law that I would love and tolerate their daughter, I would have no chance from the moment she cheated on me.

I had my eyes on her and questioned her firmly, "So, you insist on firing me and divorcing me for this homewrecker guy?"

"Keep your mouth clean, Maxime!" Cedric suddenly became anxious and yelled at me. "The one who is not loved is the homewrecker. Are you stupid that you don't even understand this basic principle?"

Without hesitation, Serena snuggled up in his arms and said, "He's right, Maxime, I don't want you anymore. Without me, you are not qualified to be the CEO of the Morscheck Group. Cedric and I, our baby, are a family."

"What a pity." I sighed softly. "Serena, you didn't seize your last chance."

Her expression grew colder and colder and she looked at me with an expression of extreme disgust.

"Stop being so mysterious. Do you think you are still the powerful CEO of the Morscheck Group? Without me, you will have nothing. Who cares about your crappy opportunity?"

Cedric even reached out and poked my forehead, saying bossingly, "Are you a dog that only know how to bark! Quickly hand over the project before your brain is completely gone! From now on, I will be responsible for everything related to the Morscheck Group!"

I rudely knocked off his hand and responded, "Do you think anyone can be in charge of this project?"

"Maxime, what the hell are you crazy about!"

She gave me a hard push and then held Cedric's hand with heartache. "Does it hurt?"

He gnashed his teeth and said, "Serena, since he is so shameless, don't be polite to him anymore."

Serena nodded solemnly and looked at me contemptuously.

"It doesn't matter if you don't cooperate with the handover. If even you can take on a project, an elite like him can do it and my dad will help him, too."

I could not help but laugh and say, "Where did you get the confidence that your dad would accept him?"

She looked at me as if I were a fool and placed her hands gently on her belly.

"Cedric is the father of my child and the father of the future heir of the Morschecks. Just based on that fact, you have lost miserably."

Seeing her arrogant and self-righteous expression, I kindly reminded her. "If you are with him, your child may not be qualified to have your family's name, Morscheck."
