“Maybe she’s the one who released them. Otherwise, why would she stop us from calling the police?”
“Open her phone! Maybe she has other people’s photos saved on it!”
As such, they swarmed on her.
Overpowered, Renee couldn’t stop them from grabbing her phone and forcing it unlocked.
Sure enough, the gallery was full of nude photos, and most of them were mine.
Under the scrutiny, her face flushed bright red as she stammered out a few words, struggling to defend herself.
“I didn’t mean to!” Renee defended.
But no one believed her. Every pair of eyes turned on her was filled with disgust.
“How could you do something like that to another girl? You’re disgusting.”
One of the girls deleted all the photos and then turned to the dorm supervisor. “Ma’am, this can’t just end here. We need to report it to the administration.”
“Yeah, we can’t let it slide,” another chimed in.
Renee shook her head, crying and protesting, but they still dragged her straight to the academic office.
I wasn’t about to miss the chance to let everyone know what I’d been through, so I followed closely behind.
Not long after, the school officially reprimanded her for secretly installing a camera in the dorm showers.
As she sat there crying, writing her self-criticism, she glared at me with pure hatred. “Elodie, you just wait. This isn’t over.”
Even so, I didn’t even glance her way. I just turned and left.
After that, I didn’t go back to the dorm. I found a small apartment off-campus instead.
The next morning, my mom called, her voice filled with worry. “Veronica, are you being bullied at school? So many people are calling and saying terrible things. Even our home number got leaked. They said there’s a post about you on your school forum.”
My heart dropped. I opened the school’s online forum right away.
Sure enough, there was another scandalous rumor plastered across the homepage.

Beneath it was a blurry photo of someone who looked like me getting into a luxury car.
Even though the image wasn’t clear, the commenters were ruthless.

[My friend’s in the journalism department. He said she even accused a professor of harassment in class yesterday. What a mess.]
I didn’t even need to think about it. I knew this was Renee’s doing.
Gripping my phone, I marched straight to her. She was lounging in a chair, legs crossed, a smug smile on her face.
“That’s what you get for crossing me,” she sneered. “At Horizon University, I have a hundred ways to ruin you.”
I raised an eyebrow. “Is that so?”
She smirked, thinking she had the upper hand, but before she could say another word, her little sidekick tapped her shoulder nervously.
“Renee… Elodie just posted something new on the forum.”
